Junior Trader- crushed products, meals and oils

What will you be doing as a Jr. Trader for crush products, meals and oils

The core focus of the Junior Trader activity is to offer the professional and administrative support of trading the mentioned products (including risk management/hedging) for Ukraine.

This should be completed through the following activities:

• Origination of oils and meal from the local market
• Daily monitoring of the changes at the international and domestic oil, meals and oilseed markets, monitoring of purchase / sale prices of competitors
• Price development projections / estimation of logistics costs.
• Documentation support. Application of GAFTA and FOSFA terms.
• Following and development of supplies for oil, meals, oilseeds; daily position and daily PnL.
• Making market updates/discussion with the head office
• Negotiating with suppliers / customers.
• Drafting contracts, control over execution of contracts.

The position is located in Kiev, part of a team of 4 people and reports to the respective Value Chain Director for Ukraine, located in the same office.

What do we expect from our Jr. Trader?

• University degree - preferably with a major in either Agriculture, International Economics, Trading or Finance
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position of trading
• Ukrainian and English skills - advanced level
• MS office- intermediate level (especially Excel knowledge)
• Used to conduct sophisticated internet searches and on other channels/ sources in order to collect information on topics of interest, with strong analytical skills
• In-depth knowledge of domestic markets and good knowledge of international markets, with a results oriented mentality
• Demonstrating ability to work with multicultural and diverse remote teams.
