Polish Humanitarian Action (PAH) is currently looking for a Program Support Specialist to prepare project proposals and provide support to the Head of Programs in overseeing implementation of projects activities on the Mission.

· Duration: 8 months (contract might be extended depending on the availability of further funding)

About PAH:

Polish Humanitarian Action (PAH) is an international non-governmental organization which since 1992 has been providing humanitarian and development help worldwide. So far, the interventions have been carried out in 46 different countries. By possessing long-standing expertise in the implementation of projects in Water, Sanitation and Hygiene, Food Security and Livelihoods, as well as Nutrition and Education, PAH concentrates its global activities on ensuring sustainable and stable development of regions suffering from the consequences of armed conflicts, natural disasters and other humanitarian crises.

PAH has been present in Ukraine since August 2014 delivering humanitarian aid to the most vulnerable of the conflict-affected population. PAH provides assistance to internally displaced people, elderly and single mothers, working in the sectors of food security protection and livelihoods. PAH Ukraine is currently expanding programming from humanitarian to both early recovery and development-oriented interventions that provide sustainable livelihoods opportunities to the affected population.

 Key Duties and Responsibilities:

· Preparing quality project proposals (incl. project budgets) and reports;

· Supporting Head of Programs in overseeing implementation of current projects on the Mission (compliance with project proposals, work plans, etc.);

· Preparing relevant inputs to the Clusters, Working Groups, etc.;

· Cooperating with relevant field staff and Kyiv-based staff (Project Coordinators, MEAL, logistics, finance, administration, etc.);

· Drafting project-related documentation (note to files, statements, etc.);

· Ensuring information flow with various stakeholders;

· Ensuring all project-related documentation received and properly stored;

· Attending relevant internal and external meetings (Clusters meetings, meetings with other INGOs, project review and lessons learnt meetings, etc.) and preparing minutes;

· Translating the documents and interpreting during meetings (English-Russian/English-Ukrainian and vice versa);

· Performing project site visits to the field sites in Donetska and Luhanska Oblasts;

· Completing other tasks as requested by Head of Programs.

 The successful Program Support Specialist will be selected based on the qualification requirements described below:

· Bachelor's degree or equivalent in political science, international relations, sociology, public administration, law, economics or any other relevant field;

· At least 1-year work experience in an NGO sector and/or experience in project development/project management;

· Experience in preparation of project proposals and reports;

· Fluency in English, Ukrainian and Russian;

· Excellent English writing and reporting skills;

· Strong organizational and planning skills and ability to meet deadlines and to work under pressure;

· Detail-oriented with excellent writing and strong analytical skills;

· Ability to work in a team and independently;

· Good cooperation and teamwork skills;

· Strong computer skills - knowledge of MS Office; skills in Word and Excel;

· Sound understanding of local context and humanitarian & social needs of internally displaced persons and local conflict-affected population in Ukraine.
