Active scaling, increase of business volume and the Group products, increasing amount of operations and jurisdictions the business interacts with, have led to the need to single out IP function within the Legal team.

As a Senior IP Legal Counsel you will report to our Chief Legal Officer.

As a part of a team, you will have an ability to grow together with the Company and lead the IP direction within the Legal team. You will work in an international environment, heading our Group IP strategy development and implementation worldwide.

Challenges you'll meet:

• Developing, implementing and managing IP strategy across all Group, including:
  o Maintaining, developing and protecting IP portfolio
  o Evaluation and risk management as part of IP strategy
  o Ensuring that IP strategy is aligned with evolving business and strategic goals
• Managing the Group IP matters, including legal strategy for IP acquisition and development, freedom to operate clearance and delivering legal opinion
• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating IP related agreements and clauses, ranging from non-disclosure to the complex assets licensing agreements
• Lead and oversee IP protection efforts (including identifying infringers, initiating and responding to potential infringement concerns, managing cease and desist letters, filing takedown requests and other pre-litigation activities)
• Ensuring product clearance and IP due diligence (including full cycle content generation support - creation, contraction and licensing thereof)
• Raising Group IP compliance awareness level through teams education to ensure IP compliance is engrained on each level
• Researching, monitoring and analyzing advanced IP issues, relevant national / international legislation and case law

Your professional qualities:

• 6+ years experience in IP Legal Counsel / Senior IP Legal Counsel role in a top law firm / a Big 4 audit company / IT / complex organizational business operating internationally
• Strong expertise in IP legislation of Ukraine, USA, EU countries and Cyprus in particular
• Ability to research, analyze and draw practical conclusions from IP-related laws, regulations and court/regulatory cases
• Ability to think strategically to understand the broader view and to formulate conclusions and recommendations using facts and data, business analysis, deductive reasoning and sound judgment
• Advanced English language level
• Result-oriented, well-organized, self-starter
• Skillful translator of complex legal issues into plain business solutions
