NOC Agent

Project description: Delivering NOC service for one of the biggest company clients, which provides hosting services for their end-users.  

Working schedule: Monday-Friday, 15.00:23.30 

Requirements

• Basic technical understanding of hosting platform, mail services, DNS functionality.
• Basic understanding of network primitives: routes, Hop, Packet, Datacenter, RDP, Windows terminal.
• English level: Intermediate+/Upper-intermediate.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring system alerts related to platform functionality.
• Be in charge of the abuse part of the system and own escalation path to raise flags to different teams if any should be involved.
• Answering incoming tickets and emails.
• Using Jira and Confluence software to log work progress and knowledge.
• Generalizing existing documentation.
• Monitoring for network state abnormalities using monitoring software like Nagios, SolarWinds, AppNeta.
• Correlating reported issues with alerts from monitoring tools.
• Applying basic troubleshooting.

Would be a plus

• Knowledge in networking and experience with Linux.
