What will you be doing as a Head of Origination Branches ? 

The core focus of this role is to assist the Origination Manager with direction and execution of origination/commercial strategic strategy.

Key Responsibilities include :

-  Responsible for leading and advising team members with focus on key asset locations

-  In alignment between the daily completion of commercial and operations activities.

-  Develop the regional culture to instill:

u Owner’s mindset, where every employee is thinking and acting like an owner

u Customer focus (farmer and end-users), where every employee plans for, implements and carries out outstanding daily activity to ensure the customer’s needs are always first

u Fact-based, but quick bias for action, where strategic decisions are supported by and presented to leadership based on facts and situations requiring quick decisions which can deliver results are quickly made

u Strong analytical abilities, initiative, and problem-solving skills necessary to adapt to a constantly evolving environment

The position is located in Kiev, part of a team of 8 people and reports to Origination Manager for Ukraine, located in the same office, having 5 direct subordinates and approx. 40 grain buyers.

What do we expect from our Head of Origination Branches ? 

You are passionate about agribusiness and capable to explain properly business objectives to your direct reports. You are a positive and structured person, with great management skills and pro-active demeanor, commercially focused, with the ability to convince and enthuse. You are also a problem solver for your team.

What else do we expect? 

• Bachelor’s degree in business or agriculture, or equivalent experience, supplemented with minimum of 7-10 years of origination or sales experience, Agricultural sector preferred in international or local companies
• 5 years minimum management experience
• Proficient usage of both Ukrainian and English languages
• Knowledge on CRM system, Sales Force
• Strong background in highly efficient crop merchandising (origination) and risk management with detailed financial and operational visibility (data-driven).
• Outstanding networking capabilities and a strong desire to go above and beyond
• Must have the ability to speak in public, cold call and communicate optimally- regional offices
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office required, with emphasis in Excel and PowerPoint
• Regional travel within Ukraine will be a regular part of this position’s responsibility- up to 30-50% of total working time.
