Back-end (Python) Middle Engineer #10778

Our client is a US company that operates as a financial lender of installment loans for consumers to use at the point of sale to finance a purchase and helps people to get consumer credits in transparent and friendly way. Their engineering organization is focused on creating robust, modern micro-services application implemented in Python while porting existing Python codebase to Python 3

Responsibilities

Implement BE functionality
Reimplement existing services based on Python2 with Python3
Update existing unit tests to gracefully run on Python3
Refactor codebase to increase the reliability and performance of a solution
Integrate various client systems within OneLogin service
Work closely with Engineering teams
Work in close contact with team members and project stakeholders on the client’s site

Requirements (required)

3+ years experience with Python (v2.x and v3.x versions)
Strong knowledge of Python programming language (v2, v3, Flask, Flask SSO, Celery, nose test)
Experience in building reliable, high-available, distributed architectures
Experience in Microservice architecture and its patterns
Strong troubleshooting experience

Requirements (optional)

Hands on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
Understanding of Financial sector and Global Finance
Thirst for covering all written functionality with tests
