Chief Accountant

About the role:

  • The main role of Chief Accountant is to ensure that commercial activity complies with local tax, accounting, civil and administrative legislation.


Responsibilities:

  • Organization of record keeping of Company financial activity according to IFRS;
  • Following accounting policies which comply with accounting legislation;
  • Heading preparation and acceptance of chart of accounts, forms of primary accounting documents, as well as performance of inventory procedure, control of the business activity, observance of accounting information, processing technology and document control procedure;
  • Effective organization of accounting and reporting (Financial Statement according to the accounting standards: Balance Sheet, P&L Report, CF, BS Explanatory note), preparation and timely submission of full and reliable accounting information on the company’s activities, development and performance of activities, aimed at strengthening of financial discipline;
  • Ensuring that software meets requirements of the Group and Local Accounting Legislation (Develop, implement, test, control and recommend adjustments);
  • Rendering assistance to employees from other operational and service departments regarding accounting,
  • control and reporting analysis;
  • Provision of validity, correctness and timely preparation of documents
  • Ensuring month\year end closing in due time;
  • Continuing improvements and optimization of finance processes, cross function projects;
  • Cooperation with the state authorities with regard to the company’s financial activities;
  • Ensuring preparedness for internal and external audits;
  • Successful passing of tax audits;
  • Managing and developing accounting team (4 employees).


Requirements:

  • Previous experience as chief accountant/deputy chief accountant at least 5 years in a big international and/or production company
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Experience of managing a team
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to build strong working relationships across the company.
  • Computer skills SAP/ERP
  • Language skills English -  Upper Intermediate
