Restaurant manager and director (English speaking)

boba & black is looking for an experienced restaurant manager and director. Right now we have a small bar in Lviv city center serving Taiwanese bubble tea and Asian street food. We are looking to scale our operations and open a bigger kitchen only for delivery. Therefore, we are looking for somebody who can manage daily operations, staff, and finances responsibly. We want to become the first bubble tea chain in Ukraine, so we rely on a great team with plenty of room for creative expression and growth.

Your tasks:

• Act as the director of the LLC
• Manage and approve transactions
• Facilitate communication with accountants and bookkeepers
• Understand all kitchen processes in detail in order to advise and train staff
• Help out in the kitchen in times of high demand
• Enforce hygienic and organizational rules in the kitchen
• Enforce great customer service standards among staff
• Supervise inventorisation
• Manage communication and HR matters with kitchen and service staff
• Purchasing of investments and replacements
• Report to the owner (English speaking)
• Communication with landlord and suppliers
• Organization of set up of new establishments
• Conduct interviews, on-boarding and training of kitchen and service staff
• Deal with problems and issues arising during day to day business

Required skills:

• Experience managing a restaurant or coffee shop
• Experience working in the kitchen or bar
• Profound knowledge about general kitchen processes, food hygiene, and safety
• Assertiveness but fair leadership skills to enforce rules and supervise staff
• Kind and friendly attitude towards customers, co-workers and subordinates - we aim to create a warm and welcoming work environment with down to earth management
• Basic understanding of bookkeeping, accounting, tax and legal matters related to restaurants in order to communicate with accountants competently and productively
• Upper-intermediate English proficiency to communicate with foreign owner
