System Administrator (Linux) in ITSM Team

The Engineering department in Namecheap has about 20 self-organized teams working on high-quality products that would enhance user experience and ensure the stable performance of business solutions.  

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as a Linux System Administrator

• Knowledge of Linux architecture

• Virtualization technology's configuration and usage (KVM, Hyper-V, VMWare)

• Monitoring Systems - Zabbix, Nagios etc.

• Experience with Application Performance Monitoring

• Good knowledge of Bash

• Knowledge of GIT

• Familiar with ATL stack – Jira, Confluence

• Experience of SQL DB administration

• Good level of network technologies knowledge

• Good knowledge of Information Security principles - ability to create safe and reliability systems

• An ardent desire to learn continually and grow professionally

Will be a plus

• Popular scripting languages knowledge to create automation of work processes, monitoring, alerting

• Understanding of Active Directory infrastructure, experience in Linux-based LDAP solutions

• Experience as an Atlassian administrator, knowledge of Atlassian API

• Experience with Java-applications configuration and support

Responsibilities

• Configuration and maintenance of Linux-based infrastructure

• Configuration, optimization and support Jira and Confluence servers

• Configuration, deployment and maintenance variety of tools and applications

• Optimize *nix infrastructure and automate routine operations

• Integration different type of systems

• Identify and troubleshoot problems in timely manner

• Learn, test new technologies and best practices and bring them into IT infrastructure
