International manufacturing company CANPACK UKRAINE announces a comepition for a vacancy of IT support specialist

Main duties: 

1) Ongoing technical support for the system users as the first and second level of support, in particular:

a) Solving problems with the hardware and applications on workstations,

b) Solving problems with the hardware and applications of video conferences, CCTV, WMS terminals, access control, time and attendance systems,

c) Repair of the computer hardware,

d) Training of employees in the field of utility applications operating in the CANPACK Group,

e) Preparation of the computer hardware for the end user.

2) Handling service requests, including:

a) Registering user service requests,

b) Telephone and/or email contact with the user,

c) Tracking the status of reported problems, 

d) Verification and change of the request status,

e) Verification and change of the request assignee status 

f) Creating a knowledge base including a set of problems solved.

3) On-call service and handling service requests outside standard working hours in accordance with the schedule developed by the Department Manager.

4) Cooperation with the Third Level of Support in the scope of:

a) Passing the requests to the Third Level of Support,

b) Implementation of solutions provided by the Third Level of Support,

c) Solving problems with the hardware and applications on servers and network devices, 

d) Introducing changes to the configuration and modernization of elements that are part of the IT technical infrastructure.          

5) Overview and maintenance of the computer hardware (computers, printers, IP phones) and software updates on workstations.                       

6) Verification of the server room security systems in accordance with the schedule (i.e. air conditioning systems, gas extinguishing, access control).                            

7) Preparation of opinions in the scope of repair, modernization, scrapping and purchase of the computer hardware and software.                         

8) Verification and acceptance of the IT equipment provided by the supplier.    

9) Creating and updating the technical documentation.

10) Improving knowledge in the field of new hardware and application solutions emerging in the IT market.

11) Keeping detailed records of the computer hardware and software installed on it.

12) Cooperation with suppliers and service technicians of the hardware and software manufacturers in the scope of service contracts and warranties.

13) Participation in projects in the area of development of the IT infrastructure and the ServiceDesk system.

Requirements:

- Strong knowledge of MS Office and Windows 7/8/10 operating systems

- Knowledge of the architecture of personal and portable computers

- Basic knowledge of computer networks

- Basic knowledge of servers architecture and OS systems

- Strong communication skills

- Excellent organization of own work

- Problem solving   & troubleshooting skills
