We are looking for Graduate IT Support Engineer / Manager
Location – Darftord, UK
Purpose of role
- Provide 1st/ 2nd line IT support to colleagues in the UK and globally
- Support the IT Manager with the implementation of the IT strategy
Main responsibilities
- Primary point of contact for end users for hardware and software technical support.
- Visit business units or site offices to provide hands-on assistance, upgrades or repairs as required.
- Installation and configuration of new computers and laptops, and recording details into the IT register.
- Testing and evaluation of new products or product upgrades.
- Repackaging of approved software to allow for automated deployment to end users.
- Support the development, evaluation, integration and implementation of the IT infrastructure and associated systems within the Company.
- Carrying out research and purchasing approved hardware in line with established procurement guidelines.
- Purchasing printing consumables for the Head office and continually reviewing supplier costs to ensure best value.
- Logging of new equipment, moves and changes in IT register.
- Installation of structured cabling where required at business units and sites offices
Experience and qualifications required
- Experience of 1st and 2nd line support including fixing faults remotely, talking customers through the process etc.
- Good networking skills in particular TCP/IP protocol.
- Experience of installing and configuring of pc hardware
- Experience of software re-packaging and deployment
- Experience of Windows operating systems
- Experience of using Microsoft applications including but not limited to Dynamics, Azure, Active Directory and Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint).
- Experience with Ethernet patching and cable management.
- Experienced at managing Company telephone systems (inc VOIP)

- Flexible and happy to travel to company sites
- Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks
- Team orientated individual who is also able to use own initiative
