VMware Engineer

Requirements:

• Knowledge and understanding of virtualization technologies
• Practical experience with solutions based on VMware vSphere products and their components (PSC, vCenter, AutoDeploy, SRM, etc)
• Understanding of the principles of ensuring high availability and the technologies used for this (HA cluster, Metro Storage Cluster, Replication, etc)
• Experience with Disaster Recovery solutions for building disaster recovery solutions (Site Recovery Manager)
• Understanding of the principles of monitoring, backup and problem solving of all components of the virtual infrastructure
• Experience in building vSAN or analogs
• Understanding of the peculiarities of the work of hypervisors with external disk storages;
• Knowledge of the principles of building and working with LAN / SAN / DNS / DHCP / AD
• Skills in automation of infrastructure maintenance tasks
• Experience with HPe hardware servers (DL and BL form factor), converged (virtual connect) and scalable (synergy) solutions
• Experience in working with service requests for vendors (creation, maintenance, implementation of the proposed solutions)
• Understanding the principles of containerization and experience with Docker / Kubernetes are welcome
• Experience with public cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure)
• Understanding of service delivery models (IaaS, Paas, SaaS), as well as the concept of infrastructureas-code
• Experience with Terraform is desirable
• Understanding SLA, teamwork, communication skills
• Willingness to learn and share knowledge with others
• English Intermediate
