 The Role Responsibilities

  • Provide deep technical expertise across the entire network security portfolio.
  • Engage and collaborate closely with Cyber Threat Intelligence, Cyber Defence Centre and Network Engineering teams to determine opportunities for tactical and strategic capability uplifts.
  • Reviews network security projects and provides direction and guidance on how they should be configured to be aligned with the banks technical security standards and adequately address risk.
  • Makes directional recommendation, taking into account multiple factors, including risks, alignment with current and future network performance specifications and cost/benefit analysis.
  • Contributes to overall Network Security standards, engineering specifications and configurations for enterprise communication.
  • Creates documentation and procedures necessary to provision and manage performance and capacity. Defines operational parameters and events for operation leads.
  • Engages peers in technical dialog considering new ideas and applicability to the banks environment.
  • Understands architectural concepts and can create design artifacts (detailed diagrams and documentation) for engineering and operational peers.
  • Candidate must be wiling to be on-call standby (in rotation) including night, weekend and public holidays.
  • Fix detected vulnerabilities identified internally/externally to maintain high security standards.
  • Supporting large data centers and corporate network-security technologies such as network access control, web-proxy, firewall governance tools, etc.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Minimum 5 years working experience in Banking, Information Security Technology
  • Expertise in Data Center delivery, design, modelling and support with technology from Cisco, Versa, Fortinet (such as ACI, Application Centric Infrastructure, APIC, VXLAN, Application Policy Infrastructure Controller, SDN, Software Defined Networking, Next-generation firewall).
  • Expert troubleshooting & support experience required to solve complex Data Center issues by having good knowledge/experience in Data Center terminology, traditional Data Center solutions, heterogeneous environments and ability to  integrate of new solutions into legacy or greenfield environments.
  • Strong Technical skills and good understanding in Network Security Technologies, including but not limited to Firewalls (including Web Application Firewalls), Intrusion Prevention, Breach Detection, Secure Web Access Gateways, DDoS mitigation solutions.
  • Strong sense of personal ownership and responsibility in accomplishing the organisation’s goal. Exudes confidence and will roll-up his/her sleeves to drive success.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills (successfully lead and managed end-to-end technology services and or technology operations) with ability to manage multiple deadlines and effectively prirotise.
  • Ability to lead and control programme and/or project management in the context of a significant amount of change.
  • Excellent communication skills – oral, written and presentation; technical reporting writing across various types of target audiences.
  • Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Computer Science/Informaiton Technology or its equivalent
