The Open Data Science Conference (ODSC) is an international conference series that brings together the best minds in data science. As a global leader we host international conferences in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science around the globe including Boston, San Francisco, New York, London, India, and Ukraine.

About the position:

ODSC is seeking a creative and enthusiastic Client Services Specialist to be responsible for and deal with the attendee inquiries over various communication platforms. The role will expose you to the exciting field of Artificial Intelligence and data science. Attendee queries range from the event agenda to questions about our famous speakers, to logistic questions. This position requires someone who is comfortable working in an extremely fast paced, startup environment and is comfortable working with a variety of teams including marketing, content creation, sales, and management.

Basic Responsibilities

  • Handle all inbound communications from attendees that include email, chatbot, and various social media channels including FaceBook and Twitter

  • Update and ensure our attendee information is current on our chatbox, FAQ page, and similar web pages

  • Ensuring attendees queries, comments are tracked, responded to, and escalate if necessary

  • Work on preparing Standards and Guidelines for client support best practices

  • Work with the management team to help us improve inbound query process and also help us improve the overall conference based on attendee questions.

  • Work on our Eventbrite and ticketing platforms to ensure information is current and accurate and reflects marketing goals.

  • Work on editing our conference pages

Required Skills

  • Very strong English written skills are a must.

  • Solid experience answering customer queries via email or other channels

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Google Documents or Word Documents & Spreadsheet experience is a must

  • Customer Support experience will be a plus

  • Experience working with a local and remote team

  • Preferences for candidates with a Bachelors or Masters Degree

  • Good general tech skills would be ideal.
