Trainee Java/Scala Engineer

Aimprosoft, a fast-growing outsourcing IT company, is looking for a Trainee Java/Scala Engineer. This position provides an opportunity to start your career with educational projects and move to commercial ones.

The traineeship takes place in a real work environment. You will study 8 hours a day, staying in the company’s office, and collaborating closely with the Data Science/Data Engineering team.

With the support of our friendly team, you will learn how to build, automate, and launch new functionality and software solutions. That is a great opportunity for those who want to grow into highly qualified Scala engineers.

Your responsibilities during the traineeship will be:

• Follow tasks given by a team lead
• Study hard and learn all required technologies

Required skills:

• Strong skills in Java or Scala
• Understanding of Apache FOP
• Knowledge of Git
• Knowledge of SQL databases (e.g., MySQL/PostgreSQL)
• Intermediate level of English (B1) and higher

Would be a plus:

• Knowledge of Docker
• Knowledge of sbt
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases (e.g., Apache Cassandra/MongoDB)
• Knowledge of any Scala-based web framework
• Knowledge of Data Engineering frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark)
