DESCRIPTION

Our client is the largest retailer in the world. They continue to be a leader in sustainability, corporate philanthropy and employment opportunity.

Our client is seeking help for their Android native application development (new codebase). The new application is redesigned from scratch to fit a new user experience. Key points are code coverage and performance. The backend will provide both REST API as well as GraphQL. 

Working schedule - EST hours (~ 15-24).

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and build applications for the Android platform
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
• Collaborate with a team to define, design, and ship new features
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization

REQUIREMENTS

• 3+ years of experience in Android software engineering 
• Expertise in Android engineering with Kotlin and MVVM
• Experience in Android Threading Model and android internals, emphasis on performance. 
• Deep understanding of Espresso, Unit Testing & Code Coverage (client seeks code coverage above 90%),
• Experience with open-source technologies and cloud services
• Knowledge of GraphQL would be a plus
• Great communication skills
• Intermediate or higher English level, both spoken and written (B1+)
