Synthetic Chemist

Job opening by ANCOR Latvia on behalf of our TBD-Biodiscovery - an innovative, Tartu-based research and contract manufacturing company that provides full spectra of chemistry-related services, focusing on the development and manufacturing of API. 

Main responsibilities

• Critical analysis of synthetic procedures and available literature data;
• Route-scouting towards the synthetic target;
• Reaction and process optimization;
• Keeping clear, complete and accurate recording of experimental and analytical work;
• Organizing and sharing data, writing technical reports.

Requirements

• Previous professional experience in organic chemistry;
• Strong know-how of designing and development of synthetic routes;
• Working knowledge of synthetic organic chemistry skills like extractions, distillations, chromatography, crystallizations, inert atmosphere techniques, filtrations etc.;
• Advanced level spoken and written English, excellent computer literacy (MS Office);
• Good communication and interpersonal skills;
• An agile mindset, ability to independently plan, organize and document own work.
