Project description

The client is a German-based company that produces and distributes a set of jewelry products through its online networks of e-commerce shops. The client currently pursues an objective of automating data exchange across all of the online shops and internal systems in order to gain better operational efficiency, optimize the reliability of the IT infrastructure and secure further growth of the business.

Required skills

— 2+ years of experience in web development
— Expertise with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, with an in-depth understanding of DOM
— Experience developing responsive layouts for a desktop, tablet, and mobile
— Experience with VanillaJS, jQuery and modern JavaScript
— Testing and debugging skills with browser console and external tools
— Source version control tools (GIT)
— Shopify experience (Shopify Plus platform, themes, liquid programming language and corresponding apps)
— General experience building, launching and maintaining stores, as well as general knowledge of the admin system
— Experience with Shopify’s theming system and Liquid templating
— Experience with working with a made theme and/or Storefront API
— Experience with Shopify’s object/properties, AJAX API, and Meta fields
— Experience with implementing/debugging 3rd party Shopify apps as well as creating custom solutions if necessary
— Experience working with 3rd party services and APIs, specifical plugins for Shopify
— English — intermediate and above, both written and verbal

 Responsibilities

— Follow team guidelines ensuring quality and consistency in the design and development phases of applications
— Lead efforts to design, architect and write new software components
— Independently handle project activities related to builds and deployments
— Create software tests, verify the functionality and quality of the software
— Provide support for production applications as issues arise
— Troubleshoot performance and scalability issues
— Identify opportunities to improve and optimize applications
— Work with project management to understand new requirements
— Follow internal software development processes and standards
