Scala (Java) Developer (Danish Sustainability Tech startup)

Are you ready to create a new product from scratch in a team of cool founders from Copenhagen who have recently successfully developed the company nominated by TechCrunch as a EU's Hottest B2B/SaaS Startup in 2019?

Meet a sustainability tech start-up with the focus on making every purchase in the world responsible. We are creating a data platform for responsible supplier data that aggregates all data sources to give a holistic overview of a supplier that can be used for responsible decision making. We have received pre-seed funding from some of Europe’s top VCs and angels, and are looking for stellar developers to help build our company from scratch.

Required skills

- Extensive experience with Scala backend and functional oriented programming at least 3 years. If less than 3 years we expect you have additional experience with Java.

- If you don’t have Scala experience, but have 4+ years in Java and willing to learn Scala and Functional oriented programming — you are welcome to apply, they have a good mentor in the person of CTO.

- Good level of English and good social and communication skills.

Role and team:

You will work in a team of UX Designer, Data Scientist and React Front-end engineer. Your initial goal is to work on the architecture from scratch together with CTO from Denmark.

Work conditions:

This is a remote position opened in Ukraine. It is probable that one day they open an office in Kyiv or another city or country, but it is hard to predict now.

We are all hard workers, but during work hours only. Deadlines may happen once in a while, but we do not believe that people can do a job well after 8 hours of work, therefore we expect good planning, estimations and self management abilities from your side.
