AI Game Designer (UE4)

Game development studio 4A Games Ukraine is looking for AI Designer to join our team to take part in development of unannounced multiplatform AAA shooter (PC/Consoles).

Responsibilities

The key responsibility of the AI Designer will be creation and integration of various AI mechanics, including:

• Development of AI mechanics in Unreal Engine 4 with blueprint visual scripting.
• Development of AI mechanics in close collaboration with other departments: programming, animation, design, etc.
• Development of design and creation of technical documentation for AI mechanics.
• Integration of new AI mechanics into existing schemes without losing functionality.
• Participation in the process of improving the game development toolkit.

 Requirements

• Experience with at least one of major game engines (UE4/CryEngine/Unity/etc.)
• Work experience on game/AI designer position at least one year.
• Deep technical understanding of the AI mechanics.
• Knowledge of Behavior Trees and State Machines.
• Ability to describe a concept clearly and in detail, both verbally and in writing.
• 3+ years of gaming experience.

 Preferences

• Experience with consoles.
• Ability to work with documentation in English.
