Hotel complex Edem Resort Medical & SPA - a unique place of the Force is located near Kiev, on the banks of the Dnieper, combining a five-star hotel, Medical Center for Health Recovery, SPA center

Today a new complex is being launched in Kyiv region.

Now we are looking for a new Member of the Team – Food and Beverage Manager

We are looking for the colleague who will:

  • Direct and organize the activities of the Food & Beverage department, including but not limited to the Kitchen, Banquet Operations, Restaurants, Room Service and Bars, to maintain high standards of food and beverage quality, service and marketing to maximize profits through outstanding customer service.
  • Hire, train, supervise, develop, discipline and counsel all food and beverage management team members according to Edem Country policies and procedures.
  • Participate with the chef and restaurant managers in the creation and merchandising of attractive menu designs to attract a predetermined customer market.
  • Implement effective controls of food, beverage and labor costs among all restaurants and BQT and monitor the food and beverage budget to ensure efficient operation and that expenditures stay within budget limitations, including achieving budgeted revenue and labor expenses. 
  • Assist the restaurants management team in establishing and achieving predetermined profit objectives and desired standards of quality food, service, cleanliness, merchandising and promotions. Maximize food and beverage department profitability.
  • Regularly review and evaluate the degree of customer satisfaction. Investigate and resolve food quality and service complaints. 
  • Participate in the development of the annual budget; develop short and long term financial operating plans. 
  • Participate in Manager on Duty coverage program, which may require occasional weekend stayovers

Our Food and Beverage Manager should have:

  • Effective oral and written communication skills with the ability to clearly and consicely express ideas. Must be able to clearly communicate in English.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills that build trust and instill confidence.
  • Thorough knowledge of food and beverage operations including foods, beverages, supervisory aspects, service techniques, and guest interaction. 
  • Ability to effectively deal with hotel ownership, guests, and team members, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet and work effectively under time and resource constraints.
  • Ability to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy periods.
  • Experience in creating ad implementation of SOPs.
  • At least 10 years experience in food and beverage, three of which should be from a management level
