Test Automation Engineer (Python) (IRC107613)

GlobalLogic Ukraine is inviting a Test Automation Engineer (Python) to join its Kyiv office.

Within a System Test team, you will contribute to the development of system regression automated tests and testing of the LTE solutions. The system Test team is responsible to define and establish the methodology and the environment for efficient system-level testing.

Requirements:

• BA, MS degree in software engineering, computer science, or a related field
• At least 1 years of experience in software testing,  system integration, software development, or other related IT field
• At least 1 year of experience in Test Automation (or relevant programming experience)
• Good knowledge of the software testing methodologies and techniques
• Good knowledge of one or several scripting or programming languages (C++/Python/Ruby/Java, etc.)
• Knowledge/experience in computer networks (Ethernet, TCP/IP, Wireless)
• At least intermediate spoken and writing English

Desired skills:

•  Good knowledge of the Python programming language and OOP principles
• Good experience in Linux (or other Unix-based) operating systems (advanced user level)
• Experience in testing/developing embedded systems
• Knowledge and experience in testing/developing radio communications protocols (LTE, WiMAX, 3GPP, WiFi) will be a major plus

Responsibilities:

• Participate in the definition of the test specifications
• Participate in test execution and bug reporting
• Participate in the analysis and diagnosis of regular system regression tests
• Participate in analysis and troubleshooting of the complex software/hardware systems
• Cooperate with development and integration team to follow up bug
• resolution
• Design and create new test automation scripts on python
• Take part in the improvement of the test automation strategy and in-house automation tools
