Accounting Manager/Accounting Team Lead

We are currently looking for a Accounting Manager/Accounting Team Lead in Kiev office.

Job functions/responsibilities:

• Coordinate and manage the work of the group allocated junior accountants, accountants, and senior accountants
• Ensure tasks and responsibilities distribution within his team to ensure that the allocated work load corresponds with the seniority of staff involved
• Set realistic deadlines the allocated team, support planning and prioritizing their work and ensuring that all relevant resources are being used, provide clear guidance on the assigned tasks, expected deadlines and expected outcome
• Efficiently communicate status of work, problem areas and potential risk issues to the management team
• Set up, periodically test and improve internal controls over the tax accounting, tax calculations and statutory reporting
• Prepare amendments to the Accounting and Tax Policies of the Client due to the changes in local legislation or Client’s activities
• Communicate with Client’s representatives on all accounting and tax related matter, provide comments regarding tax and legal issues upon the request of the Client
• Coordinates the process of software configuration for management reporting purposes
• Lead the Pre-Operation and Accounting Setup
• Conduct and participate in the meetings with clients
• Provide technical advice, coaching and guidance to staff, in particular, in client communication
• Monitor the performance of all operations staff, including setting performance targets and undertaking appraisals for direct reports

Key requirements:

• Higher education in finance / accounting / economics
• Years of experience- at least 5 in similar role
• Experience in large\ international companies
• Experience in outsourcing or consulting is an advantage
• IFRS knowledge and skills to apply in practice
• Fluent in English (upper-intermediate level or higher)
• Excellent software skills, 1C 8.3, MS Excel
• SAP skills would be a plus
• Good leadership skills
• Result oriented, proactive approach, attention to details
• Communication skills, teamwork
