Data scientist

Fozzy Group is Ukraine's largest supermarket company and food retail group. We are the leader of the Ukrainian retail market, with more than 700 stores throughout Ukraine and more than 35000 SKU's.

Main goal of the «Logistics» department is to make the delivery of goods to all retail outlets of the chain more accurate, faster to meet customers' needs. Product team is responsible for inventory management in stores and DCs, warehouse management and robotization, as well as planning and optimization of transport operations.

We are growing rapidly and are now launching 12 product teams and the goal of each team is directly related to business metrics, affecting the company's financial performance.

We are searching for passionate Data Scientist to help us solve complex problems in logistics optimization, demand prediction and resource allocation. Our ideal candidate has strong sense of task ownership and able to translate the business statement of the task into data problem.

Responsibilities:

• Formalization of the business needs into ML / optimization problems
• Requesting, cleaning and analyzing the data
• Development and validation of ML / linear optimization models
• Analysis of the business indicators before and after the model implementation
• Proactive search for opportunities to leverage existing data.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree, preferable in Mathematics/Physics/Economics;
• 1+ years of relevant working experience in Data Science (preferably in retail/telecom companies)
• Strong MSSQL and Python experience is a must;
• Extensive knowledge and understanding of supervised and unsupervised ML algorithms
• Experience in formulating and solving linear optimization problems is a strong advantage
• Proficient knowledge of mathematical statistics
