Junior M&A Analyst (ID 61590)

WE ARE

SoftServe, a leading provider of digital business solutions and digital engineering services, is looking for a Junior M&A Analyst to accelerate its M&A practice. The company originally started in Ukraine, is now headquartered in the US, and has been demonstrating record growth over the last 5 years, tripling its revenue and expanding its presence to 9 countries globally. 

M&A team is undergoing a transformation process, becoming a part of SoftServe Strategy Management Office, which is beneficial for both practices. The team supports the company and its leadership in driving the growth of the company through inorganic expansion. The analyst will complement a small team of 2 M&A specialists in driving SoftServe on its way to becoming one of the global digital transformation leaders.

YOU ARE

• A recent graduate of a TOP Finance or Economics faculty
• An early career professional with 1-2 years of experience in investments, wealth management, strategic consulting, corporate development or market/company research area. A row in CV with well-established employers from those markets will let you stand out! 
• Possessing investor mindset which derives ability to look under a different angle, focused on identification of added value creation and potential synergies. Understanding investment concepts and terminology (e.g. DCF, IRR, NPV, ROE, etc.) will be crucial for this
• Adaptive and able to work with fast-changing task priorities and multi-cultural environment
• A sharp problem-solver with outstanding critical thinking skills and attention to details
• A result-oriented doer who can adjust level of details, depending on deadline, while maintaining quality
• An excellent written and verbal communicator, and presenter to senior stakeholders

YOU WANT TO WORK WITH

Different stakeholders across the organization with different level of seniority on identification of best fit for a potential acquisition, supplemented with solid benefits for the company or a department.

You will independently

• Perform initial analysis of potential targets based on received information from advisors and/or any open-source data
• Conduct research on prospective targets based on defined criteria, gathering and analysis of open-source data for such companies
• Analyze markets and their potential: geographical, industry, or technological detailed research
• Update M&A pipeline with information for new targets and updating existing one's if changes occur
• Be preparing of various regular and ad-hock reports for M&A Executive Committee, e.g. business cases, M&A process status, market overview, peers analyses, etc.

TOGETHER WE WILL

• Dive into due diligences to identify weak spots and prepare for further integration
• Gather on the team lunches and spend exiting and eventful evenings during business trips
• Travel around Ukraine and further for conducting ad-hoc activities during deals execution and integration; visiting key local, market-specific events; and of course for our company celebrations
