Support Engineer (L2/L3)

6-SYSTEMS is developing and operating innovative IT solutions for the Sixt Group and some external customers.
In this role you will be supporting operations of financial systems. As significant part of software development team you will work closely with intrenal business departments, handle their requests, identify problems, make system configuration, fix problems using support tools, make root-cause analysis, create incident reports, specify improvements of core systems and operational processes.

Responsibilities:

•Monitor the production solution via multiple metrics (e.g. Camunda processes, logs in Kibana and Loggly)
•Identify issues/abnormalities in the payment processing, invoicing and accounting reporting flows
•Perform a root-cause analysis and communicate with internal teams and clients to find potential workarounds and the required fix/improved solution
•Use the existing tools and design/configure your own tools to optimise issue detection time
•Optimise the supportability of the solution by working with the internal and external teams (including up- and downstream systems)
•Communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively

Essential requirements:

•Strong analytical and problem solving skills
•Experience in payments / banking
•Good written and verbal communication skills in English
•Experience supporting enterprise solution in a product company
•Experience with databases and basic knowledge of SQL
•Experience with issue tracking systems (e.g. Jira)
•Curiosity to learn new technologies

Nice to have’s:

•Basic knowledge of international accounting/finance/payments
•Basic knowledge of Camunda BPM tools
•Basic experience in quality assurance (manual E2E testing)
