Remote Frontend Software Engineer (React Native)

Responsibilities

You are a part of the international team and a swiss-based fintech start-up. 

As a Frontend Software Engineer you are responsible to co-design, engineer, and develop a web application with the following functionalities:

• Specialist discovery portal with business-dating functions

• Appointment management

• Integration with payment services

and much more.

• Technical English

  • Basic or intermediate level for writing and oral communication is a plus

• A degree in computer science or a similar major

  • Alternatively, any fundamental knowledge related to programming and algorithms is a  major plus

• Experience with web development 

  • including knowledge of HTML, HTTP and understanding of how modern web applications work

  • Javascript and/or Typescript (3+ years)

  • Confident understanding of REST and building of API clients

  • Understanding of asynchronous programming

  • Error handling

• Experience with mobile first application and frameworks is a strong plus

• Experience with React or similar framework (e.g. you have already built several applications that you can show)

• Experience with modern software development concepts:

  • git (or similar VCS), CD/CI, Docker container and kubernetes

• Worked with testing frameworks before:

  • successfully developed unit-tests  

  • familiar with TDD concept

  • have done major end-to-end testing

We consider following as a great plus:

• Basic experience with Relational Databases as well as No-SQL

• Open source projects on github or similar is a plus

• Knowledge of any of the scripting languages  

• Integration and delivery of solutions that required integration of complex third-party APIs

• Worked with payment services before
