Technical Writer

3Shape A/S is a Danish hi-tech company specializing in the production and development of 3D solutions (3D scanners and 3D software) for industrial and healthcare applications, such as hearing and dental aid production, where we have a global leading position.

Two graduate students founded 3Shape in the year 2000, and today the company's fast-growing team of 1600+ employees in 20 offices worldwide (Denmark, Germany, Poland, Ukraine, USA etc.) is serving customers in over 100 countries.

We are looking for an experienced Technical Writer who can rapidly adapt to our specialized software products and be responsible for writing technical documentation, including user manuals based on input from the developers.

Responsibilities:

• Collect and research information on software functionality and features.
• Reproduce software workflows, take screenshots.
• Comprehend and describe complex technical issues in a clear, concise, plain language.
• Create new and update existing user manuals.
• Meet deadlines, release and upload user manuals in required formats to predefined locations.
• Maintain version control of projects.
• Compare versions and prepare project files for localization.
• Cooperate with teams within the company.
• Other suitable tasks within the department when required.

Your Skills and Experience:

• Help Authoring Tools and Techniques: Adobe RoboHelp and RoboSource Control software.
• Image capturing and editing software tools.
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Jira, SharePoint.
• MS Office expertise.
• High level of written and spoken English.
• Experience in creating user manuals for software products in English is a must.
• Ability to study, analyze and describe complex technical issues.
• Strong understanding of technical materials and attention to details.
• High-level of organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication skills and creative mind.
• Have interest in hardware and software technologies.
• Ability to work independently and in a team while meeting deadlines.
• Awareness of the routine of delivering high quality results while avoiding errors.
• Flexible in adjusting to immediate needs.
• Analytical and well organized, can handle simultaneous tasks.
• Quick learner.

It would be a plus if you have:

• Technical education background.
• Knowledge of dental or medical related industries.
• Experience of living/working/studying in an English-speaking country.
