Backup Administrator

As a Backup Administrator, you will be responsible for activities that increase lead conversion rate and result in customer generation. Using marketing tools such as emails, webinars, videos, social media, etc., you'll develop appropriate programs to qualify and convert leads. You will engage prospects and add value through content, resources, and other calls-to-action.

Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain a business continuity/disaster recovery plan
• Ensure enterprise scalability and performance for storage and backup environments through proactive capacity planning, performance control and configuration adjustment
• Set up and monitor backup/replication of business-critical systems
• Perform regular backup verification/test recoveries/failover
• Perform data recovery within defined SLAs for various departments
• Implement security policies and procedures for storing and safeguarding data
• Install, maintain and upgrade data storage and backup hardware and software
• Maintain documentation of configuration, operation and troubleshooting procedures, and service records for data storage and backup hardware and software;
• Report on results to the executive team
• Troubleshoot issues and outages within the scope of DR
• Ensure data security through access controls etc.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as a System/Backup Administrator or similar role
• 5+ years of experience with enterprise-level IT environments
• Knowledge of TCP/IP and data protocols
• Installation and configuration experience with Linux and Windows servers
• Experience with patch management and system change flow
• Knowledge of system security and data backup/recovery
• Advanced English (both speaking and writing)
• Higher education
