Data Business Analyst, Financial Systems

Required Skills and Experience

• 5+ years of experience as a senior Data Business Analyst
• Familiarity with MS SQL required, Azure highly desirable
• Solid knowledge of ETL and data architecture best practices
• Good knowledge of enterprise architecture best practices
• Experience with data tools (mostly agnostic here but Tableau would be nice)
• Experience with large data projects
• Detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to be self-motivated and deliver results
• Familiar with the overall data industry landscape in terms of technologies, tools, and best practices
• Skills in implementing new business processes and refactoring old ones
• Experience gathering and documenting requirements including acceptance criteria
• Grooming user stories, working in an Agile CI/CD environment, etc.
• Experience scoping, sizing, and planning deliverables
• Experience participating in or leading in the development of test plans

Additional Competencies

• Experience with different methods of requirements gathering. (Groups/Questionnaires/Interviews)
• Ability to work effectively on multiple priorities with strict timelines for deliverables
• Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to solve problems
• Ability to converse in both technical and business terminology and concepts
• Experience/familiarity with data governance and data management
• Other DB technologies are a bonus
• Experience with data profiling, modeling and/or mappin
