MISSION
Market Analyst will have the responsibility to support global sales development and marketing initiatives for the Commodities department.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Provide ongoing commodities market analysis to support the Commodities Business Line with sales planning strategies.
- Gather market intelligence from multiple sources of information to create a broad picture of the company's existing market, customers (including analysis of key accounts), problems/gaps, competition, and growth potential.
- Build a knowledge database comprising of quantitative and qualitative studies.
- Assist with preparation of marketing material to support sales and development, and ensure it is up-to-date and in line with corporative communication guidelines.
- Provide technical support for tenders/accreditations & memberships applications.
- Work in close cooperation with other regions/countries/business units to coordinate market intelligence data, reporting, info sharing and to develop best practices. This includes the development of a CRM.
- Participate in the organization of marketing events (e.g. conferences, cocktails).
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor or Master Degree in international trade or marketing or equivalent.
- At least 4 years of experience in the commodities trade industry, ideally TIC industry.
- Experience in a market intelligence role. Proven track record of managing and delivering regular market intelligence updates to meet business needs.
- Some experience of running and/or commissioning primary qualitative and quantitative research studies.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Deep knowledge of research methodologies as well as qualitative and quantitative analysis
- Structured, logical thinker: The ability to respond to business problems/issues, and develop frameworks to conduct analysis.
- Proven analytical skills including the ability to interpret numerical and written data, identify trends and provide contextual reports.
- Ability to present data in a way that is simple to interpret and inform organizational decision making
- Proficient use of Excel and PowerPoint, Mastering Business Intelligence tools would be a plus.
