Deputy Chief Accountant (VAT)

We are a multi-flag, global agri-business with a six-continent supply chain, global logistics and processing assets located at key global trade flows, and more than 13,000 employees in 35 countries. From now we are looking for an experienced Accountant (VAT) - to join our team in Kyiv office.

Functional responsibilities :

- Preparation and submission of VAT return as well as correction of VAT return;

- Control of tax credit, communication with vendors on tax invoices or tax corrections related issues;

- Managing of non-typical VAT transaction such as control sales below COGS, write-off, compensation VAT liabilities, claims;

- Control of VAT accounting;

- To be in strong collaboration with the Tax manager in related VAT issues;

- Handling all export operations (both goods and services);

- Registration of both forwarding contracts and tax invoices related to export operations; 

- Handling local sales, including documents flow supervision and tax invoices registration;

- Review and optimization of the existing processes, procedures, systems related export operations;

- Prepare internal management reports, non-standard reports on demand;

- Work with auditors (external, internal, tax);

- Participation in month-end closing activities;

- Experience in VAT return preparation is a must

- Strong knowledge of VAT accounting

- Advanced user in 1c

- Experience in SAP will be plus

- English – upper-intermediate (to be able to communicate in English)

Requirements:

• Higher education in Finance or Accounting
• Good knowledge in accounting processes, experience for more than 3 years
• Strong knowledge of 1-C system as a confident  1-C user
• Experience in SAP will be plus
• Intermediate English
