Simultaneous interpreter

Assignment:

To perform simultaneous translations, while ensuring the exact correspondence of the translations to the lexical, stylistic, and semantic content of the translated speeches, adhering to established scientific, technical, and other terms and definitions

Responsibilities: To provide the services of simultaneous interpreting for the participants of the three-day conference of the 3P Consortium which aims to Prevent, Prepare and Protect (3P) population and infrastructures from industrial and ecological risks in Eastern Ukraine which will take place in Kyiv, from 16th through 18th February. Requirements: 

• Master’s degree in English;
• Minimum 3 (three) years of work experience as a Simultaneous interpreter in Ukrainian - English, and English - Ukrainian, Russian - English, and English - Russian;
• Good mastery of technical English including humanitarian issues; economic and social development; human rights, etc.
• Solid understanding of humanitarian and disaster risk reduction terms;
• Familiarity with full humanitarian situation and organizations operating in this sphere in Ukraine;
• Registration as a sole entrepreneur is a must.
