Data Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to work in our Kyiv office.

In 3Shape’s Data Analytics team within Global Marketing, we have an ambitious vision for the future of data & insights at 3Shape. In the data analytics team we have established a strong marketing data foundation, with the need now of connecting data sources across the organization to define our Single Customer View and understanding the full customer journey through our data. This will be a highly collaborative role, with the opportunity to work across the 3Shape business units and local offices.

As a Data Engineer your role will amongst other be working to ensure that all our platform tracking is working and to setup the tracking up on additional platforms. You will also be working on data handling (ETL) and helping with the development of PowerBI dashboards. You will further more help move our customer data to the cloud and drive the work related to connecting our customer data from across different functions and systems in 3Shape through our CDP system (Customer Data Platform). In the role you will have a high degree of freedom and the opportunity to influence our data strategy and the status quo of how we work with our commercial data.

You are a strong technical profile, able to work with stakeholders. You are a problem solver, able to navigate complexity and proactively determine appropriate next steps in your work through structured data analysis. You have worked across a wide range of business systems and understand how to implement best practices for data management.

Your Main Tasks 

1. Establish and optimize a reliable tracking on our platform 

• Maintain measurement plans for new and existing platforms (CMS, CDP, CRM, MA) and advising on tracking set up
• Work with data handling (ETL) and maintaining of analytical systems for individual platforms and business units.

2. Develop and drive the data strategy in marketing

• Develop and advise on best data strategy for Marketing
• Take ownership of our Customer Data Platform (Segment) and drive broader implementation
• Basic project mgmt. and communication of key data initiatives in Marketing

3. Create reports & develop dashboards in PowerBI

• Create informative and actionable dashboards, write reports and deliver presentations that surface results, findings and suggested improvements.
• Build relationships with internal, senior and global stakeholders to understand their objectives, and to tailor data strategy and reporting to actual business needs

Your Skills

• Min. 2 years working and/or academic experience with data
• Min. 2 years working experience with commercial / customer data or similar
• Data handling skills (data pipeline tools, ETL, postgres, SQL, excel, python)
• Statistical & analytical knowledge and application skills (R, SAS, python, strong theoretical foundation)
• Machine learning & automation skills (R, python etc.)
• Data visualization is valued. Experience with PowerBI or similar is a plus.
• Teaching, training and consultancy and project management skills are a plus as well (PowerPoint, process visualization tools, excellent English skills).
• Experience with digital marketing (familiarity with social ads, google analytics, ppc, seo, organic social, email) and/or eCommerce (funnel analysis, basket analysis, etc) is a plus
• Experience working with a Customer Data Platform or similar is a plus
