Who are we looking for? 

We are looking for a trainee to join our arbitration, international trade, shipping and English litigation team in our Kyiv office. Most of our projects are on a large scale and have a high profile within the international market. The position provides for a flexible schedule with the possibility of working both remotely and at the office.

This position is ideal for an ambitious student willing to gain experience in English law, international arbitration, trade and shipping.

Main responsibilities:

The trainee will not have a caseload of his/her own but will work closely with one or more of the associates at the firm and assist with all aspects of that lawyer's work:

• Legal research.
• Assisting with drafting legal letters, claim submissions, defence and other documents necessary in the course of litigation or arbitration.
• Assisting with various administrative tasks such as proofreading documents, drafting articles and publications for the website, updating the website's content, etc.
• Participation in case meetings and discussion of case strategies.
• File Management - including initial reports, updating reports and correspondence.
• Supporting marketing and business development activity.

Requirements:

• excellent English;
• superior legal research and strong analytical and communication skills;
• ability to work overtime.

Professional legal experience is not required, we need someone who is able and willing to learn fast and diligently. Experience in moot-courts would be desirable. It would also be beneficial if you could provide a certificate confirming your knowledge of the English language.
