Middle/Senior Java Developer

The mission of Intel 471 is to protect your organization, your products, your assets and your people. We are building an actor-focused cyber threat intelligence SaaS product. From the customer perspective, we offer an online portal and API that allows them to consume, query, analyze and visualize multiple sources of cyber threat intelligence information. 

Intel 471 is looking for a Middle/Senior Java Developer to join our world-class team. The role is located in Ukraine, Kyiv on a remote basis.

You will be developing high volume data engineering products, combining data from multiple sources into a single stream, having expertise in both web development and system development, building large scale projects from scratch and work in the cyber intelligence industry. The role drives the development of high-throughput data processing and visualization software running on a server platform.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for building new services to fit into the Intel 471 product family
• Working on improving existing core technologies of Intel 471 data processing and visualization
• Writing and reviewing excellent code in Java, Scala and bringing value to customers by delivering an award-winning product to new heights.
• Confident to propose your own ideas for incorporation into the development schedule
• Be confident and able to fully converse in English for day to day communication

Education, Experience & Qualifications: 

• What do you need to know? Just some Java. You also know Scala? Perfect match!
• ElasticSearch, MongoDB, MySQL, Cassandra ? it's good if you have experience with any of these
• We write reactive applications so Vert.X/Akka/RxJava is handy but not mandatory
• Experience with Play Framework is a plus
• See the task at hand broadly, discover and analyze possible solutions with the end-user in mind
• Able to think outside the box, and open to learning and improving skills
• Be self-motivated and able to work independently in an agile environment
• Possess a high level of analytical and design skills
• Skilled at thinking outside of the box and able to find unconventional solutions
• Able to apply previous experience to find unconventional solutions and ready to move forward.
