General purpose and importance of the position

An employee on this position is responsible for transforming existing or new customer inquiries into orders and thus increasing the portfolio and its profitability, also for order processing, transportation planning and preparing related documentation.

Duties

  • Processing of new service requests received from existing customers and/or from internal sales department;
  • Processing of any type of requests by any mode of transport and/or multimodal and/or standard/OOG;
  • Direct communication with customers' representatives for clarification of details during request processing;
  • Negotiating favorable terms of service with approved vendors of company in order to provide customers with best and most competitive offer;
  • Find a new vendor if necessary and submit it for approval in accordance with the company's internal procedure;
  • Preparation of most competitive and attractive offers to the customers;
  • Negotiation with customer, constant follow-up of submitted offers until order confirmation together with sales team;
  • Planning and monitoring transportation and logistic schedule of orders received;
  • Organize shipping and constant control of statuses, timely delivery of information and status to the client;
  • Regular contact and negotiation with partners and agents regarding cargo transportation;
  • Offering other services of the company (cross-selling) to the client during the request processing;
  • Managing clients/orders in the portfolio and constantly taking care of portfolio growth (number of active clients/number of orders/profitability of orders);
  • Regular reporting to the immediate supervisor on the work performed;
  • Identifies the existing problems in the operational part of the company and takes appropriate measures to correct them, in addition informs its immediate supervisor about this in a timely manner;
  • Prepare and submit various types of reports upon request from its immediate supervisor;
  • Perform other tasks as directed by its immediate supervisor.

Qualifications, experience and skills

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Business Administration and/or Transport and Logistics;
  • At least 3 years of working experience in the field in the relevant position;
  • Analytical thinking;
  • Ability to work in stressful situations;
  • Perfect knowledge of English, Ukrainian and Russian languages;
  • Knowledge of MS Office at user level.
