Middle Java Engineer, Communications Service Provider

The client is an American company that's working in the communications solutions industry focused on large companies and corporations.

They specialize in services for sending voice and text messages, notifications, organizing online conferences, alerts about natural disasters, creating interactive voice menus and newsletters, sending messages on a schedule, etc.

Development is conducted using a comprehensive stack of technologies: .NET, Objective-C, Java, РНР, MS SQL, Oracle, ReactJS. The system's features are continuously expanding and getting supplemented with new opportunities as per requests of the company's customers.

Responsibilities

• New features 70%
• Maintenance / Bug fixing 20%
• Document writing 5%
• Meetings 5% (Scrum Ceremonies)

Required Skills and Experience

• Experience in developing web applications using the Java platform (Java 8)
• Experience with Oracle
• Experience designing and using RESTful API 
• Skills in using tools for automated project building (Ant, Maven)
• Good Spoken English

Additional Competencies

• Experience using NoSQL (e.g. Cassandra, MongoDB)
