Head of Pricing Policy & Price Execution

We are looking for our client, an international production company (coal & mining), a candidate to act as Head of Pricing Policy & Price Execution Department to manage the company's commercial terms and price execution for contracts.

 

Key functions:

 

  • Managing pricing policy, in close liaison with the product management, sales, marketing and finance teams
  • Conduction of reviews on current pricing strategies, competition, industry in general and key product categories
  • Analysis and anticipation of market trends to define new opportunities
  • Support of the global sales function by working with local teams and leading external consultants
  • Lead the pricing proposal activity
  • Managing portfolio pricing and commercial terms.
  • Oversee price execution by providing analytical data and argumentation for individual terms for contracts
  • Analysis of key performance indicators to track value capture from revenue management activities
  • Conceptualization of consumer behaviors and identification of customer segments requiring distinct pricing structures
  • Development, execution and management of pricing programs required to react to specific market or competitive conditions
  • Field new opportunities from the sales function and put together pricing analyses
  • Assess the value of the company's offers verses the competitors
  • Develop win-win customer proposals for sales while continuing to meet company revenue and profitability goals
  • Analyze business and report on results, both internally and externally
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of pricing strategies
  • Work on projects for key Business Operations initiatives aimed at improving processes and results

 

Key requirements:

 

  • Higher education, with a degree in finance, economics, business management, cybernetics, math's or other related field
  • MBA will be an asset
  • Strong business and financial acumen
  • Experience in operations, marketing, business development, research & analysis, investment analysis or transaction analysis
  • Industry experience is highly desired (mining, metals, coal, ferroalloys or other)
  • Pricing knowledge / experience is a must
  • Understanding of the sales process, including export sales
  • Strong communication skills across all levels of the organization
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Ukrainian, Russian and English fluency
  • Extraordinary analytical skills
  • Ability to exert influence on the relevant key stakeholders through persuasive discussions
  • Strong attention to accuracy and detail
  • Top-class leadership
