Event Manager

The Event Manager is responsible for planning, managing and growing assigned events, including internal and external events. Responsibilities include event strategy, segmentation and planning, project planning, vendor relationship management, partner relationship management, lead/prospect management. Drive the development of event plan for a year for Wirex Team that include event summary details, coverage schedules, key event messaging, target prospect lists, related events summaries, travel schedules and lead/prospect goals and objectives. Role will work closely with key internal partners including HR department, business development, and finance.

What you'll be doing?

• End-to-end management of all internal and external event logistics including planning, onsite execution, event flow and follow-up activities post-event;
• Work closely with HR team on event-specific messaging, materials, demos and speaking opportunities and coordinate multiple stakeholders across departments to ensure the timely execution of all event deliverables;
• Create event year plan, including event summary details, coverage schedules, key event messaging, related events summaries, travel schedules and lead/prospect goals and objectives;
• Manage vendor relationships and coordinate detailed events logistics, orders and payments, including securing event locations, selecting convention booth space, managing booth exhibit design, logistics and shipping, arranging for party event spaces and audiovisual requirements, coordinating entertainment, catering, scheduling travel and other arrangements as necessary;
• Manage events budgets on plan.

Requirements:

• 2-3 years of experience in event planning and corporate event focus;
• Experience negotiating and managing vendor contracts as well as coordinating event production, shipping and travel logistics;
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task, problem solve and keep calm under pressure in a fast-paced work environment;
• Ability to confidently represent the company across multiple industries as a customer-facing brand ambassador;
• Extremely strong attention to detail;
• Work effectively in a growing and evolving organization;
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances, while still achieving the overall outcomes and objectives;
• Capable of independent and strategic thinking;
• Engaged, flexible, motivated and success driven.
