Middle Test Engineer (Aviation Business)

Starting a new product is always exciting, isn't it? Especially the one connected to Dangerous Goods Regulation (DGR) in the aviation business. DGR is one of the most important documents to sustain aviation safety. It is a complex set of documents that requires special trainings for all stakeholders involved in dangerous goods processing and shipping. The IT technology has evolved dramatically during the last years, and now it provides more room for improvement in aviation safety. 3D visualization, Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality - those are the key technologies that drive education and training to a new level, give ability to polish and test the skills in a simulated situation as close to reality as possible.

The application provides significant advantage compared to a simple paper exam or online questionnaires when the student has to imagine the situation or answer the questions without a proper context.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in test strategy definition
• Analyze requirements and discuss them directly with BA
• Plan and estimate testing activities
• Create and support required test documents and artifacts
• Perform functional, regression, compatibility, and integration testing
• Report defects, track changes on their status, and verify when they are resolved
• Regularly make status reports
• Work with risks

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge and understanding of software testing concepts and practices
• Strong understanding of Agile software development methodologies, task management and tracking tools
• Experience with requirements analysis and testing
• Strong experience in functional and regression testing (test design techniques, impact analysis)
• Experience in creation of basic test documentation (test case, check list, bug report, test report)
• Estimation techniques understanding and experience in estimating of test tasks
• Knowledge in SQL
• Experience in API testing will be a plus
• Thoroughness and attention to details
• Ability to focus on business needs rather than on task completion
• Good communication and reporting skills
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• To be a team player with a keen sense of responsibility
• At least Intermediate level of English
