Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in Ukraine is seeking a qualified professional for the project "Vocational Integration of Internally Displaced Persons/EU4Skills" to fill the positions of the

 

Advisor for Strategy and Stakeholder Communication (full time, Kyiv)

 

The project "Vocational Integration of Internally Displaced Persons/Eu4Skills" improves the employability of internally displaced in Eastern Ukraine and supports the national reform of vocational education and training (VET). The project works through policy advise on the national level, assists planning and budgeting on the regional level and supports the implementation of initial and further training on the local level.

 

Area of responsibilities

  • Support the stakeholder management and strategy development of the programme
  • Prepare and document meetings with the Ministry of Education and Science, the National Qualification Agency and other partner organizations of the programme
  • Develop planning and monitoring formats for the project teams in Kiev and relevant regions
  • Support the project teams in developing and monitoring activity plans
  • Develop and implement a monitoring system for contributions defined in financial agreements and service contracts with European and Ukrainian organisations
  • Support the reporting to the commissioning and potential co-financing parties
  • Coordination of consultants in the areas of strategic development, communications, monitoring and reporting
  • Requirements to candidates

     

  • Master's Degree in Economics, Social Sciences or equivalent qualification preferably with a focus on project management, education and employment.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in project management, planning and monitoring, grant and contract management.
  • Experience working in projects related to sustainable economic development, employment promotion, education and training.
  • Experience in establishing and maintaining business relations, strong communication skills.
  • Good knowledge of English language. Russian and Ukrainian are required. Knowledge of German would be an advantage.
  • Good working knowledge of ITC technologies and computer applications (e.g. MS Office)
  • Experienced to work in an international team.
  • Good self-organisation skills.
  • Customer and service-oriented attitude.
  • Willingness to upskill as required by the tasks to be performed.
  • Ability to work under pressure.

 

Employment conditions

Full-time position with 40-hours working week until July of 2021. Frequent travel within the relevant regions is required.
