The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is an impartial, neutral and independent organization whose exclusively humanitarian mission is to protect the lives and dignity of victims of armed conflict and other situations of violence and to provide them with assistance.

The ICRC is mandated to work in countries affected by armed conflict or other situations of violence. The ICRC is present in over 80 countries and has some 13,000 field staff.

In 2014, the ICRC expanded its presence to Ukraine. There are more than 500 ICRC staff working in Kyiv, Sloviansk, Severodonetsk, Mariupol, Donetsk, Luhansk and Odesa.

Cashier

Sloviansk based

 

 

AIM OF THE POSITION

  • Responsible of the cash payment of the sub-delegation;
  • Supports the team in the organization of events, and staff accommodation;

 

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Does payments in cash against validated invoices and verifies the presence of all supporting documents
  • Strictly applies financial and payment procedures, and explains them to the departments
  • Files documents and keeps the cash statement up to date
  • Acts as the official welcome point for visitors
  • Supports the team in the organisation of staff accommodation and in the organisation of events
  • Performs various office works which require basic computer knowledge and secretarial skills (e.g. as typing of standard correspondence, filing, mail preparation and distribution, photocopies, updating of lists)
  • Translates simple documents for internal use
  • Helps the superior in daily task and reports regularly the stand of the work

 

The tasks and responsibilities defined above are not exhaustive and can evolve depending on organizational needs.

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education and professional qualifications

  • Secondary school level or a technical school
  • 1 year work experience in a similar field of activity
  • Good knowledge of spoken English and basic knowledge of written English
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Basic knowledge of accounting as an asset
  • Capacity to adhere to ICRC procedures

This notice explains why the ICRC Delegation in Kyiv collects your personal data, which information we have access to, how we collect and disclose the data, and how we protect it. You will also find information on how to exercise your data subject's rights.

 

Why do we collect your personal data?

We collect your personal data for to process your employment application.

Your personal data is not used for automatic profiling or decision-making.

 

What personal data do we collect and how?

Information you give us:

We will obtain personal information from you when you contact us and apply to a vacancy.

We usually ask you to provide the following information: your full name, date of birth, email address, mobile phone number, position/title, company/organization, resume and references, and motivation for applying to a vacancy.

If you are the selected candidate for the applied position, we will additionally ask you for: your ID and passport details and scan, labor book, publicly available social media profiles, tax code and if applicable also marriage certificate, children's birth certificate, and/or military certificate.

 

Who processes your personal data and with whom is it shared?

Internally, all personal data collected by the ICRC are processed only by designated ICRC staff members or agents.

During the recruitment process we may share the minimum/necessary information - as specified here below - with:

The people you have indicated as references in your application, should the latter be of interest to the ICRC: your name, surname and the details of your resume we wish to get feedback on;

Upon hiring we also share the necessary information with the relevant governmental institutions dealing with social security and labor regulations.

We will never sell your personal information.

In case of sharing your data with third parties, we will ensure as much as possible that the recipient has provided sufficient proof of compliance with the principles set out in the ICRC Rules on Personal Data Protection.

 

How do we protect and safeguard your information?

We take appropriate measures to ensure that the information disclosed to us is kept secure, accurate and up-to-date. We have, for example, measures in place to protect against accidental loss and unauthorized access, use, destruction, or disclosure of data.

 

How long do we keep your data?

In case of unsuccessful application, we will retain your personal data for a period of two (2) years from the date of your application, so that we can inform you should a suitable job opening occur in the future.

Upon us to decide the timing, based on length of time to file complaints. Can you please adjust accordingly?

Some personal data may be retained further for accountability purposes and/or to comply with legal requirements.

 

How can you verify, modify or delete your personal data?

You can contact us if you need more detailed information regarding your rights and the way we use your personal information for recruitment purposes.

In addition, and subject to certain limitations, you can contact us to:

  • Consult your personal information;
  • Rectify your personal information if it is incorrect or incomplete;
  • Ask us to stop using your personal information;
