Software Development Manager – E-Commerce (Automotive)

Position

We are looking for a Software Development Manager to join our growing team of technical leaders who take responsibility for building and developing the teams that deliver E-commerce automotive solutions on behalf of our clients. You need to be passionate about architecting and developing large scale distributed technology solutions. You will cultivate relationships with industry, and ensure that we remain relevant in a competitive market.

Responsibilities:

This is a leadership position. As a Software Development Manager, you must be technical and you will own the technical strategy for the solutions you will own that will solve customer problems. You will hire, manage and develop a world-class team of software engineers necessary to build a new product and ensure optimal performance of those products in production. You will be responsible for on-time delivery and quality output of your engineers. You will be independent, autonomous and a problem solver. You will drive collaboration amongst your engineers, lead by example, and partner with Product and Technical Program Management to meet customer expectations.

Your responsibilities will be to:

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience hiring, developing, leading and managing engineering teams
• 7+ years of software development experience in preferred technologies
• Practical knowledge of SOLID object-oriented programming principles
• Strong understanding of database theory and experience with at least one relational and non-relational data store technology
• Fluency in English
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Time management, and team collaboration skills

Preferred:

• Relevant E-commerce Automotive industry platform experience
• Customer relationship skills
• Development experience on a UNIX or Linux platform
• Familiarity with infrastructure management
• Experience with AWS, Azure or similar cloud computing services
• Experience with Angular, React, React Native or Vue
• Experience with PHP
• Experience with Nodejs
• Experience with Java, Spring Framework, MariaDB, ESB, Rest, PostSQL
• Experience in designing large scale distributed technology solutions
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies
• Experience using Git and Atlassian suite of products (Jira, Confluence)
• Hands-on experience with development of software engineering best practices
• Bachelor's or Masters degree in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent
