R&D Engineer

ELEKS Software Engineering and Development Office is looking for an R&D Engineer in our Lviv or Kyiv Location

ABOUT PROJECT:

The customer is an Emmy-nominated XR company based in Austin, TX focused on creating impactful 360 Video, Virtual Reality, and Augmented Reality experiences for brands and agencies. Partnering with renowned directors, producers, content creators and developers at the forefront of the medium, the company has created captivating interactive experiences for some of the world's leading brands and media companies, including Lionsgate Entertainment, Procter & Gamble, and Showtime Networks

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Act as a technical leader and ideologist of one or more products and/or services from the company offerings
• Perform technology research and accumulate expertise in ELEKS' strategic technology areas
• Support Engagement in their pre-sales projects acting as a technology consultant/software architect
• Conduct technology consulting for projects in Delivery
• Present ELEKS to the world as a top technology company (e.g. by taking part in industry events as a speaker/participant, writing blog posts, contributing to open-source projects etc.)
• Share knowledge among ELEKS' employees

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:

• 3+ years of experience in commercial software development
• Solid knowledge of any of the programming languages: Python or C++
• Knowledge of Computer Vision (classical, not neural networks)
• Knowledge of 6DoF tracking
• Hands-on experience with OpenCV
• At least upper-intermediate level of English

WOULD BE A PLUS:

• Knowledge of Web stack (final product runs on mobile browser)
• Experience in Machine Learning
• Experience working with augmented reality
• Work with web assembly
