Senior C/C++ Software Engineer (Android/Linux) (IRC74344)

GlobalLogic Ukraine is inviting a Senior C/C++ Software Engineer (Android/Linux) to join its Kyiv office.

Our customer is an international company with offices in more than 20 countries and headquarters in Tokyo, Japan. It is one of the largest Tier 1 semiconductor and microcontroller vendors for automotive, industrial, home electronics and other industries worldwide. The Company is cooperating with world's biggest car manufacturers, providing them with the high-quality, cutting-edge, and comprehensive integrated cockpit and automotive computing platforms.   

Team in GlobalLogic is providing a full cycle of the R&D services to the customer. The main responsibility is the bring-up of the newest versions of the Android OS on a customer specific hardware, including system requirements analysis, new features development and bug-fixing, system integration and validation.

Requirements

• BA, MS degree in software engineering, computer science, or other related field
• 4+ years of experience in software development
• Good knowledge of C/C++
• Good knowledge and experience in multithreading
• Good knowledge of Linux, including experience in development on Linux
• Experience in troubleshooting and debugging of complex issues, profiling and system performance optimization.
• Experience in working with and creation of the software development documentation
• Intermediate+ spoken and writing English

Preferences

• Experience in development or integration for the embedded systems will be a major plus
• Experience in C++ development on Android/Android NDK will be a major plus
• Experience in GIT
• Experience Linux kernel development
• Experience in OpenGL and Multimedia
• Knowledge of Java for Android

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development and bug-fixing of the Android specific features on the OS level.
• Contribute to the performance analysis and optimization of the existing system.
• Contribute to the HAL development.
• Porting customer specific features to the newest Android versions.
• Take part in the system requirements and customer requests analysis
• Take part in different PoC projects.
• Cooperate with other teams worldwide to follow up product development and integration with other solutions.
