Data Engineer for Lohika Digital Media Agency Project

Purpose of the job

Lohika company provides premium software engineering services to leading technology companies. Our customers usually range from startup to high growth and VC backed companies, which drives a culture of acceleration and innovation. The agency is more than 400 people strong, manages over $600MM in media spend and deploys campaigns in 70 markets in many cities around the world. Main tasks and responsibilities:

• Creating, fixing and improving ETL's, procedures, functions based on Big Data solutions
• Covering (new and existing) functionality with automated tests
• Checking end-to-end data flows
• Designing database schema according to data processing needs

Education, skills and experience:

• At least 3 years of experience data warehouse and multi-dimensional database design and development using formal methodologies
• Strong SQL writing and tuning techniques
• Experience of experience with at least one ETL tool, e.g. Talend, Informatica, Kettle etc
• EExperience with Big data tools:environments Hadoop, Hive
• Experience in Python development
• Agile methodologies
• Upper-Intermediate level of English

Would be a plus:

• Experience with Big Data tools: Presto, Spark, HBase, Kafka
• Clouds (Google Cloud, Amazon Services)
• Experience with BDD/TDD approaches
• Bash/Shell scripting
• Knowledge of Git
