Ecologist

Position Purpose:

Organize the fulfillment & following to the requirements of current legislation and Company standards in Environment.

Pillar member of the HS&E Team. 'Integrated Lean 6 Sigma (IL6S)' cultural change throughout the organization through functional capability building and driving/applying IL6S work processes.

Main Responsibilities:

Coordinate:

• development and implementation of actions aimed at meeting and following the requirements of legislation in the field of Environment Safety;
• development and implementation of Corporate S&E procedures;
• support compliance with environmental legislative and regulatory acts in the company's subdivisions.

Organize:

• accounting parameters that characterize the state of environmental conditions and environmental monitoring data, documentation of waste treatment in packaging materials and other environmental information;
• obtaining permits and licenses to emissions, discharges, wastes, toxic substances and use of natural resources;
• monthly monitoring of water use and submittal of quarterly reports to state authorities:
• the chemical analysis of drinking and return water;
• support in working order and update maps Registered waste review waste storage sites, the organization reviews according to legislation requirements;
• reporting about air protection, waste management, lead-containing equipment, the use of toxic substances, statistical reporting about investments in environmental protection;
• investigating the causes and effects of harmful substances emissions into the environment, prepare proposals for their prevention;
• drawing of perspective and current Environment Safety plans and provides their implementation. Organizes the implementation of more efficient technologies and technical devices to reduce pollution;
• control of safe behavior within the plant;
• conducting of introductory and secondary instructions, employees training and testing on Labor Safety;
• information on Environment by conducting of lectures and stands as well as distribution of rules and instructions, etc.;
• Internal audits in regard to the compliance with S&E requirements.

Monitor normal operation of waste water treatment plant (including pre-treatment station)

• control and analyze operational exploitation and water treating technology at WWTP;
• timing and correctness of necessary analyses in the laboratory, perform statistical analysis and monitoring;
• maintenance and repair of equipment and utilities of WWTS;
• performing of all WWTS documentation (including technological regulations, controlling schedules, passports, instructions, other technical documentation); filling of forms, reports;
• participate in any project related to WWTP

Maintain environmental management system and requirements of environmental protection:

• coordinate and participate in Environmental Management System goals setting and its achievement by the development of corresponding programs;
• develop, submit for review to direct manager, and implements measures to optimize and improve environmental protection at the plant;
• develop, submit for review to direct manager, and implements relevant documentation of EMS;
• coordinate the internal environmental management system audits, and in time development and realization of corrective and preventive actions, personally participate in audits;
• assures management review of the environmental management system.

Take part in:

• Coordination of developed project documentation at the plant and work of the commission that takes decisions on completed constructions or reconstructed production sites, on getting the machinery and other equipment after repair in regard to the compliance with regulations and Environment requirements;

Prepare tax collection estimates for environmental pollution.

Prepare and submit S&E Corporate reports.

Conduct the calculation of environment hazards in the process of plant operation, identify and evaluate environmental aspects.

Check the functioning of Mondelez management system in order to set up the adherence to the requirements of ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001:2007 international standards by holding of internal audits in accordance with procedure "Internal audits of Mondelez management system».

Be entitled to:

• provide the managers of plant functions with the requirements and instructions regarding the removal of actual nonconformities, receive necessary information, documentation and explanations concerning the issues of Environment;
• Stop production operations, machinery, equipment and other production facilities in case of violations, which pose a threat to significant environmental pollution;
• Initiate the procedure for brining to account employees who violate S&E requirements;

Is responsible for compliance with the local requirements on personal, labor and fire safety, environment protection, quality and food safety as well as corporate policies and standards pertaining to the above spheres (e.g., QCMS, HACCP, SS&E) and other applicable international standards (e.g., ISO 22000)

Qualifications:

• University degree in the proper area
• 2+ years of relevant professional experience in Environment
• Knowledge of legislative and regulatory instruments, instructional materials and other S&E guidance
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and production mode, plant equipment and the principles of its work.
• Procedures and methods to meet the established S&E requirements
• Procedure for examination of S&E and pre-planned, pre-project and project materials
• Means of monitoring the compliance of technical equipment condition at the plant with S&E requirements
• S&E methods, forms of propaganda and information
• Proficiency in basic office software
• Communicative skills
• Good command in English (at list Intermediate level)
