Senior Java Engineer for a Marketplace project #6431

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Our client is one of the world largest marketplaces, dealing with one billion events per day. Currently, we are building a team which will work onsite at customer office in San Francisco. As part of this team, we're looking for a Senior Java Engineer who will be able to participate in the whole life cycle of the new Data Access Policy Implementation and find the best technical solutions for our customer.

* need to be able to travel for at least 3 months to the USA/Berlin or willing to relocate to the USA

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Research and evaluate technical options to implement business
• requirements
• Ensure with quality development standards since the application is
• processing billions of events (unit/integration tests, etc.)
• Work in close contact with team members and project stakeholders on
• customer's site
• Suggest technical and functional improvements to add value to the
• product
• Write quality, maintainable code with extensive test coverage in a fast-
• paced professional software engineering environment
• Take part in requirements analyzes
• Interact with customer and provide technical solutions

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• 5+ years of commercial Java development experience
• Experience working with Hive, HBase
• HDFS, ORC, Parquet
• EMR, S3
• Data Security Principles
• Unit Testing
• Well-developed communication and team-working skills
• Upper-Intermediate level of English
