Middle/Senior Ruby Engineer #6512

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

As a Ruby Engineer, you will work on one of the world largest marketplace, dealing with one billion events per day and contribute as part of R&D self-organized team working in a challenging, innovative environment for our Customer.

*Need to be able to travel at least for 3 months to USA/Berlin or willing to relocate to USA

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Actively participate in the searcher and system improvement
• Investigate issues and solve them
• Ensure with quality standards since the application is processing billions of events (unit/integration tests, etc.)
• Ability to decompose distributed systems and forecast failure cases
• Establish a monitoring system

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• 3+ years of commercial development experience on Ruby, RoR
• Deep SQL expertise and experience with large distributed database design at least
• Good troubleshooting skills
• Intermediate + level of English
• Well-developed communication and team working skills
• Rigor in automated testing, code quality, and engineering best practices.
• Ability to go for 2month+ business trips

WOULD BE A PLUS

• Development experience on Java
• Familiarity with Presto/Hive/Spark
• Development experience with large distributed systems
